Starling 2 Max Hardware Overview
This section contains an overview of the hardware components of the Starling 2 Max Development Drone.

Development Kit Contents
Starling 2 Max is available in a variety of kits depending on what you have and need:

Components
Starling 2 Max shares its entire compute stack with Starling 2 — the same VOXL 2-based autopilot, cameras, and software experience. The differences are the airframe and power system:
- Larger airframe — 322mm diagonal carbon fiber airframe (512mm propeller to propeller) with 180mm folding propellers; 500g take-off weight, 500g additional payload capacity, 55+ minutes flight time
- Dual-battery power — two 2S 18650 packs (e.g. Sony VTC6 3000mAh) with XT30 connectors, connected in series for an effective 4S (16.8V max). Both batteries must be installed to fly.
- Power module integrated into the ModalAI VOXL ESC Mini 4-in-1
- Cameras — dual Sony IMX412 12MP color + dual OnSemi AR0144 tracking sensors (camera config C28), optionally with ToF (C29)
- RC receiver — 915MHz ELRS (M0184) or 2.4GHz Ghost Atto
