Overview

The M0187 is a breakout board for the FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal camera on VOXL 2 platforms. It carries the Lepton socket, its 25 MHz clock, and an I2C IO expander that lets voxl-lepton-server hard-reset the Lepton. The IO expander is detected automatically at runtime.

Software Setup

voxl-lepton-server publishes the Lepton’s frames over the Modal Pipe Architecture. Configure it for the carrier the M0187 is attached to:

Use m0188 for a VOXL 2 Mini carrier, and m0173_rotated for the rotated image on Starling 2. The FLIR Lepton page covers the config file, pipes, and shutter control. Frames can be viewed live in VOXL Portal.
