Zorro Blue Controls

This control layout shows how switches are mapped when using Stinger Vision FPV with the Zorro Blue controller.

To arm the drone, start by ensuring all switches are away. Onece they are, switch the arm switch on the top left towards you. That will arm the drone and then you are ready to fly.

Flight Modes

The flight modes on Zorro Blue are mapped to be Altitude, Position, and Thermal Flow mode.

Altitude mode will be the most responsive flight mode, and gives the user a responsive and easy to fly flight option.

Position hold mode used the camera sensors to stabalize the drone, allowing it to hold its position whithout the need for a GPS. This mode is best used in well lit areas. Look for the VIO indicator in the top left of the OSD to be green for best results.

Thermal flow mode acts like position hold mode but is best used in dark environments.

Position hold flight can be seen below.

Note! Although flight charictaristics in these videos are consistent, button mapping for Zorro Blue is different than what you will see.

Turtle Mode

When the drone is upside down, turtle mode can be used to flip the drone upright. To enter turtle mode start by disarming the drone. Once the drone is disarmed, you can flip the recovery switch towards you, entering crash flip (turtle) mode. Once the recovery switch is engaged, arm the drone and use the right control stick to flip the drone upright. To take off and fly, disarm, disengage the recovery switch, re-arm and fly.

Backrack Mode

Backtrack mode can be used to have stinger vision replay its motion for a short period of time. To enter backtrack mode flip the recovery switch while in the air. This will trigger backtrack mode and you will see the drone begin to replay its motion. You can disengage the recovery switch and regain manual control at any time.

Note! Although flight charictaristics in these videos are consistent, button mapping for Zorro Blue is different than what you will see.

On Screen Display (OSD)

When the drone turned on you should see the video pop up in the goggles/on the VRX display. If it does not come up, perform a scan to find the correct frequency.

Below is the OSD as it looks in SDK release 1.6.3. Other releases should look similar and the information should be displayed similarly.

If you need to make any changes, such as flight modes, frequency, ect. enter the OSD menu by pushing both sticks down and in. Use the right stick to navagate the menu and make any changes. See VRX ground unit quick start for more information
